About My Clients
Within my clinical experience, I have serviced children, adolescents and adults in both clinic and community-based settings. While I have worked with client’s with various mental health concerns, I specialize in trauma and life transitions impacting Women of Color.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Choice Theory, meaning that I believe that our power is rooted in the choices we make. With trauma, we have so much power in our healing and how we choose to navigate it. We can be the creators of our own journey and we can choose how we want to move through it, no one else can. As a Black woman therapist, my goal is to encourage and fuel that power to overcome trauma one day at a time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my everyday life outside of Therapeutic Freedom, I am a loving and humorous mom, wife, sister, daughter and friend. My goal is to have therapy feel as relatable as it can be. I am a firm believer that while each experience may differ, the empathy of the emotions felt can cross through all experiences.
