About My Clients
I specialize in outsiders, "oddballs", & people who feel pushed aside. I work well with trans folx, and people on the spectrum. Whether you want to heal from the past, stop harmful patterns, or discover who you are and what you want from life, we can collaborate to find a way forward. You have goals to accomplish and things you have to get done. Maybe important people in your life are counting on you. Maybe you want to bring people closer but don't know how. This all sounds very human to me.
My Background and Approach
My experience in the performing arts, along with specialized training in evidence-based methods, allows me to use creativity and science to meet you where you're at. You are the expert in your own life. I'm here to help you be that expert. I'm here to walk alongside you on the path you're finding. I’ve spent years helping people heal from trauma and deal with the Anxiety, Depression, and OCD. Together, we find ways out of the traps so you can know yourself more deeply & confidently, connect with others, and grow into the person you were meant to be. I use evidence-based methods, sometimes along with creative arts techniques, and I teach people to be their own therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I recognized how privilege and oppression shapes our lives in our divided, racist, gender-biased society. I believe in the dignity of every human and living creature. I understand progress does not happen in a strait line, and I see my work with individual as work with society. I believe that people are infinite in their depth, and that the more of themselves that they experience and integrate, the freer they will be. With that freedom comes the ability to contribute to the world and be the person they wish to be in their heart of hearts. I'm about truth, even when it's scary. And I'm about joy, even in the deepest dark.
