About My Clients
I specialize in working with children 7+, teens, and young adults dealing with a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, self harm, trauma, attachment issues or school/career challenges to name a few. Additionally, I work with parents/guardians and families to assist them with supporting their adolescent or young adult children struggling with mental health or behavioral challenges. I provide both trauma informed and culturally sensitive and informed treatment and am an LGBTQIA+ ally.
My Background and Approach
I am an integrative therapist, combining many techniques and elements from various schools of psychotherapy in the treatment of clients based on their individual needs. During our initial sessions, we will deeply explore your history, collaborate to develop tangible goals, and work on skills to combat symptoms causing impairment. Our goal is to see a reduction of symptoms within the first month or so and sustained improvement thereafter.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood are crucial developmental periods that significantly shape an individual's middle and late adulthoods. The experiences, relationships, and challenges encountered during these formative years contribute to the foundation of one's personality, coping mechanisms, and overall well-being. I focus on childhood and early adulthood mental health and wellbeing, as well as cultural differences, and their roles in shaping a person's evolution into an older adult. I believe that no one's life story should have to end with emotional pain and suffering and that to be healthy as a whole, mental wellness plays a role. With the proper tools and support, I am confident that all clients can shape their narrative and move forward with resilience and determination to add meaningful chapters to their life and craft their dream ending.
