About My Clients

*Not currently accepting new clients* My areas of focus are LGBTQ+ issues, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, and self-compassion. I work with teenagers and adults of all ages. My goal is to create a warm and non-judgmental environment where clients can discover their own power and purpose. I believe that no one is broken and we are more than the things that hurt us. I hope to help clients find compassion for themselves in this way.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic style combines person-centered, feminist, existential and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches. With that being said, I like to collaborate with clients to find an approach that works best for them and plays to their strengths. For me, therapy is about learning to cope in the here-and-now alongside growing self-understanding.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I use my personal experiences as a client to inform my empathy and connection with my clients. I believe my personal struggles with depression, anxiety, trauma, and my queer identity have shaped me as both a person and a therapist. My own journey of healing has been dependent on feeling seen, finding a safe place to be vulnerable, and knowing that I am not alone in places of darkness. I hope to provide this for all my clients. I am actively affirming of all gender identities, sexualities, alternative lifestyles (ENM/poly, kink/BDSM), and cultural backgrounds. I am passionate about being both a therapist and an advocate, and I am constantly learning to provide care from an antiracist, decolonized, queer empowering lens. I firmly believe therapy should be a place where you can feel validated and celebrated in your intersectional identities.
