Jeff and Dr. Katrina Michelle discuss how therapists can do better at integrating their client's spiritually transformative experiences into treatment. We define what a spiritually transformative experience is and how to treat someone who is going through one. We talk about the dangers of sending someone to the hospital if they are having a spiritual emergence. Katrina and Jeff talk about their own spiritual experiences and how likely it is that Jeff will be able to haunt his wife after he dies.

The experiences I am talking about manifest in many different ways. For example, a spiritually transformative experience could be any of the following:
- Near death experience
- Out of body experience
- Feeling of oneness with the universe
- Psychedelic experience
- Hearing voices from another realm
- Easily manifesting things or experiences into reality
You get the idea….but it’s really difficult to come up with a name for this category that all, or at least most, people will understand. Please weigh in by taking this quick one question survey.
