About My Clients
I have extensive experience supporting BIPOC and queer individuals, especially those exploring identity, belonging, and intergenerational dynamics. I’m conversational in Mandarin Chinese and Korean and while I don’t offer full sessions in these languages, I’m happy to bring them into the room when it helps you feel more at home in our work together.
My Background and Approach
Therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are: messy thoughts, big feelings, unanswered questions, and all. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and guided by gentle curiosity. I draw primarily from relational-cultural theory and psychodynamic therapy, with tools from ACT and DBT woven in. In practice, this often means we start by creating some breathing room, developing ways to work with overwhelming feelings and find steadiness in the present moment. Once we have that ground beneath us, we can turn toward the deeper questions: the narratives you've inherited, the core truths you hold about yourself, and the patterns that continue to shape your relationships. We'll explore what still fits and what's ready to change, making space for new stories to emerge.
