About My Clients
Does your body feel it didn’t get the memo that the danger has passed? I'm an integrative somatic trauma therapist helping high-performers in tech, medicine and leadership roles across California. In a judgment-free space, you’ll learn to untangle old stress, discover ease, clarity, and even laugh a little as life starts feeling more like yours again.
My Background and Approach
My approach combines parts work, EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, guided imagery, hypnotherapy, and somatic therapy to support recovery from trauma, chronic stress, and being raised by a narcissist. We’ll safely transform old patterns, regulate the nervous system, and build emotional resilience so you can feel more present, connected, and at ease in daily life. I believe in teaching effective, practical tools, and so am certified by Dr. McBride's Will I Ever Be Good Enough (WIEBGE), Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), the Academy for Guided Imagery, and was originally certified IN EMDR in 1995, (currently lapsed certification).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a young child I witnessed the pain caused by racism and misogyny. It made a deep impression. As a young adult, I felt helpless and angry. I'm straight, white, and educated. Peers felt at ease speaking out against or joking about oppressed groups in my presence. What's a woman of privilege to do? Well, I made a vow to never remain silent when people speak from a bias that drives social injustice. My style is non-confrontational. I tell a story based on my friends' or family's experience with prejudice. I'll start with, "That reminds me of".. .and ends with, "Can you imagine how it would be to live with that?...What that would feel like if it happened to you?" This strengthens my integrity in difficult situations. I bring this sensitivity to treating all forms of collective, racial, neurodiverse, gender based, medical, narcissistic abuse, and domestic violence trauma.
