About My Clients
I work with children, teens, adults, and families in a safe and nonjudgmental space. I have experience with foster and adoptive families, blended families, and individuals navigating life’s challenges. I believe in cultivating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, creativity, and a sprinkle of humor. I’m passionate about the journey, especially the self-esteem building and the pride that comes with taking steps toward a goal.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sociology from West Texas A&M University in 2012 and returned for my Master’s in Counseling in 2020. I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 12 years with children, teens, adults, and families, including foster and adoptive families, in settings like inpatient, group, individual, and family therapy. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space and love to get creative in cultivating a therapeutic relationship. I believe that learning new stories, building trust, and a sprinkle of humor help us grow. I’m passionate about the entire journey: the challenges, the changes made, the self-esteem building, and the sense of pride that comes when a client takes a step toward their goal. I was once told that life is like a messy filing cabinet. Therapy can help with cleaning, organizing, processing, and refiling the papers inside. I would be honored to support you in your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve always been drawn to the human stories behind the struggle. After working with a wide range of people and growing my own little family, I’ve learned how powerful connection, trust, and a touch of humor can be. I believe growth happens when clients feel safe enough to be real. It’s an honor to witness people reclaim parts of themselves they thought were buried under the mess. I value compassion, creativity, and walking alongside people as they create space for healing.
