About My Clients
The majority of my professional career has been focused on BIPOC individuals, people on the LGBTQIA2+ spectrum, young people who were considered “at-risk” of high school drop-out, professionals, artists, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and preteens.
My Background and Approach
While I have been practicing therapy since 2021, my work with people spans nine years via interning, crisis work, group facilitation, outreach, and case management. I enjoy using components of motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a person-centered, relational, and strengths-based approach. I am certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Gottman Level 1 (Level 2 Pending), and have completed both sexual assault and domestic violence 40-hour trainings. I am also biracial (latine and South Asian) and am natively fluent in Spanish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal identities, along with my education in psychology, religion, and social work, inform my practice through an anti-oppression lens that is affirming of people on the LGBTQIA2+ spectrum, people of all racial identities, sizes, and religions, parenting and non-parenting people, diverse relationship structures, kinksters, people who have been incarcerated, and people who work(ed) in survivor economies (i.e. sex workers, gang-involvement).
