My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Counseling has traditionally been based on Western assumptions, that have minimized multicultural challenges. I believe in understanding mental health and providing counseling services in ways that validate people’s intersecting identities, fostering personal growth, optimizing quality of life, and healing maladaptive thoughts, feeling states, and behaviors. Through my own therapy, I have learned how to manage my anxiety and panic so that it no longer has control over me. I would like for you to no longer have to carry that weight of fear, worry, or panic. I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I also believe that everyone should have access to quality care. My ethical integrity is held with the utmost priority.
