About My Clients
I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community who seek to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Many of my clients come to therapy for processing and support related to grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, impulse control, gender identity, sexuality, ADHD, and sexual health.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy as a collaborative practice where I work with my clients to determine appropriate goals and treatment outcomes. We build a real relationship based in trust, vulnerability, mutual respect, and empathy! I am able to cater to the specific needs of each individual through incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Harm-Reduction, and Psychoanalytic Therapy, and Inner Child work. I strive to create a space that is anti-racist, body-neutral, sex-and-kink-positive, and queer-friendly in order for my clients to feel safe exploring their vulnerability. Using Mindfulness, I help my clients to be able to recognize their emotions and cope with the stress and discomfort of everyday life. My clients can expect to have their gender identity and sexuality respected, their needs and safety prioritized, their stories and truths kept confidential, and have my full attention and focus for the entirety of our session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer Jewish woman, I recognize the impact of systemic injustice on my own wellbeing and, therefore, understand the necessity of integrating social and reparative justice into my personal and professional practices. While it is vital that we work to uplift and invest in our communities, we cannot forget to do the same for ourselves. Too often people in marginalized communities are expected to prioritize the needs of others at the expense of their own health and happiness. I practice therapy with the intention of creating a safe place where people are encouraged and expected to invest fully in themselves. My hope is to help build reliable and sustainable systems of support for ourselves and our communities. We aren't looking to isolate from our responsibility to each other, but rather intentionally create restorative practices that encourage longterm investment in mutual aid.
