About My Clients
You don't know what else to do. You've exhausted all your ideas trying to help yourself, your child, or your family. You feel as if no one around you is facing the same struggles. You feel alone and overwhelmed. Maybe you even feel like a bad parent because of the challenges your family is facing. You question every decision and feel like the stress is suffocating you. You're wanting someone to come alongside you, support you, and give suggestions that work. I look forward to being that person!
My Background and Approach
The tools I provide will help you and your family take control of your life, reconnect, and resolve conflicts effectively. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, which means I have extensive training in approaching the problems you're facing as a complex system of relationships and connections. With training in systems theory, human development, trauma, and play therapy I have the knowledge to assist individuals, parents, and families from many backgrounds with the challenges they're facing. I work from a collaborative approach, so we work together to create and achieve goals that are tailored to your family's needs. I believe each person is made wonderfully unique, so I work to tailor my therapy style to match the needs of each person and family. I strive to provide a warm and accepting environment, that highlights strengths and resiliency in each person. I look forward to working with you to achieve the changes you desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone deserves a safe, unbiased place to process their experiences. I believe that each person is worthy and valuable. I believe we are all doing the best that we can, but when we face challenges, therapy can be a place to get support, insight, and skills to improve areas you are not satisfied with. I believe understanding our journey and our experience helps us identify patterns and factors that impact us daily. I believe change is possible for anyone who is courageous enough to step into it. I am an ally of the LGBTQ community and strive to create an affirming environment for all persons who walk into my office. I am also an anti-racist therapy and fully support Black Lives Matter, and aim to advocate for minority groups. I enjoy utilizing people's spiritual beliefs in therapy (when applicable) as spirituality can serve as a great strength for so many individuals.
