About My Clients
My experience has been working with Black and Brown youth, young adults, middle aged adults and seniors. I treat clients who are seeking to manage their suffering, who have had complex family problems, may struggle with depression, anxiety, stress management, impulse-control, searching for identity and meaning, relationship issues, low self-concept, physical and emotional abuse, neglect and racial stress/trauma.
My Background and Approach
I offer a comprehensive assessment, an exploration of your current baseline, a multifaceted approach (DBT, ACT, CBT, Solution Focused), exploring your childhood trauma, and developing a plan for building skills and goals. I enjoy using methods like adventure, outdoor experiences, and nature to uplift the mental health and the physical experience of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Together we will build rapport, explore your experiences and deep dive into you, to help you gain the necessary skills to rebuild the parts of your life and self that bring you satisfaction. We will tap into your creativity and safely move you to toward your desired goals and outcomes for mental well being. I believe that we all desire connection and emotional support. For me it is essential that my clients have the support that they need. If I am not equipped to provide their needs I work to make sure they are given the proper referrals that meet their needs and give them the balance that they deserve. I want to promote wholeness, freedom and well being and I am able to do that by being honest with myself about my capacity as well as limitations. While we are all limited in some ways, our potential individually and as a collective is vast and important and I hope to help inspire my clients to tap into their greatest potential for mental and emotional well being.
