About My Clients
Are you just going through the motions of your own life? Are you afraid to change – afraid to upset your life, afraid of letting others down, afraid of being judged, afraid of the unknown? Change is possible! My objective is to provide a safe and supportive free space in which you can explore and fully understand your current struggles, gain insight and self-awareness, and work toward a more balanced and healthy you. There are many parts that make up the whole you, which we can explore together.
My Background and Approach
I am a social worker who has worked in many different mental health settings (inpatient, outpatient, residential, etc.). I believe that therapy is different for everyone and that one modality does not work for everyone, I like to utilize and encourage clients to use a number of different approaches to figure out which ones are effective or not. I have advanced training in maternal and paternal perinatal mood disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI). I have experience working with pregnant & postpartum families as well as families experiencing NICU/PICU stays. I also have advanced training in chemical and process addictions, I am a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC). My addiction expertise includes education, treatment and recovery; codependency; and family recovery. I have worked with individuals and their loved ones at any point along the continuum of active use to long term recovery.
