About My Clients
If you're struggling with PTSD, trauma, childhood abuse, dissociation, or addiction, I can help. I specialize in treating the effects of trauma, addiction, anxiety, and dissociative disorders. Using techniques that help you process your trauma and calm your overstimulated nervous system, you will learn to regain a sense of control over your life. I can help you find relief from depression, tune into your body, and learn coping skills to manage anxiety and addictive behaviors.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma therapist I support others as they recover from childhood abuse, PTSD, heal their past, manage addictions, and gain greater clarity and meaning in life. I offer individual therapy for the treatment of addiction and PTSD. I work with survivors of sexual abuse, childhood abuse, and other types of trauma. I also treat dissociative disorders, such as dissociative identity disorder (DID). Counseling is a transformative process where you will learn coping skills, how to manage emotions, and how to identify triggers that cause emotional turmoil. I help my patients gain insight into the situations and behaviors that contribute to feelings of distress, relationship conflicts, life dissatisfaction, and poor sense of self. I empower my patients by teaching effective coping strategies, instilling hope, and strengthening their emotional resilience. I teach you the skills needed to moderate or abstain from substance use or other addictions using the Freedom Model.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m passionate about empowering folks who have experienced abuse or other types of trauma to fully embrace the healing process and take their power back. In particular, I have a special heart for those who experienced sexual abuse as children and helping them overcome the effects of the abuse and create their dream lives. I also enjoy providing therapy for those struggling with addiction and other symptoms of trauma who want to learn better coping skills. Experiencing my own childhood trauma significantly changed my life and left me with PTSD. My decision to heal from my trauma is the best thing I could have done for myself and I want others to experience this as well. In retrospect, I realize that through my own experience with trauma and addiction I was able to develop an in-depth understanding of the emotions and behaviors one experiences as a result of trauma. I find a sense of fulfillment in walking alongside others on their healing journey.
