About My Clients
My clients might suffer from depression and/or anxiety due to trauma they have experienced by being institutionalized (jail, hospital(s), foster care, etc.). My clients will be motivated to make change and may or may not be seeking therapy as part of a mandate and/or court order from criminal court, juvenile dependency, AND/OR Family Court(s) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am gender and LGBTQA+ affirming AND body-positive leaning.
My Background and Approach
I have 30+ years of experience in the field of Social Work. Specifically, with folks who suffer from anxiety, depression and/or "racial and/or carceral trauma." I hold multiple identities: of working class, BIPOC-female-presenting and a mother of a 10-year-old adopted child with special needs and a dog-mom.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that CHANGE is possible and that it can happen if you want it to. My own life is a testament to this belief.
