About My Clients
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity concerns, and the unique cultural pressures many Latino first-generation individuals experience. I also work with clients from all backgrounds who want a warm, supportive, and practical space to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I help clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, work stress, and other life challenges. My style combines warmth, curiosity, and evidence-based care.
My Background and Approach
I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) pre-licensed clinical psychologist working under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Villarreal. I have extensive experience supporting children, teens, and adults through anxiety, trauma, grief, mood concerns, identity-related stress, and life transitions. My background in community mental health, integrated healthcare, and private practice allows me to understand clients within the full context of their families, cultures, and environments. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help clients gain clarity, reduce symptoms, and build practical coping skills. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in clinical training. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes that bring relief, confidence, and a stronger sense of well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a bilingual Latina clinician, I value creating spaces where people feel seen in their full cultural, interpersonal, and lived experiences. I believe in the importance of culturally attuned, inclusive care and strive to honor each person’s identity, background, and story. I’m committed to mental health accessibility, advocacy, and reducing stigma in communities of color. I also value compassion, social justice, and care that meets people where they are. These values guide how I show up in the therapy room with humility, curiosity, and respect.
