Clinical Psychologist in Chicago, IL

About My Clients

Common themes that emerge in my work include relationships, life transitions, identity issues, trauma, existential distress, meaning and purpose, and anxiety and depression. In addition to bigger picture concerns, I have expertise in stress management, insomnia, and the interaction between coping and mental health and wellness. As a former professional musician, I also continue to maintain a passion for creative endeavors, which I integrate in my work with professional and emerging artists.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic style is flexible, engaging, and down-to-earth. Genuine curiosity and cultural humility are guiding forces as I prioritize understanding people within their unique cultural contexts. I practice from an integrative approach, blending aspects of humanistic, strengths-based, CBT/ACT, psychodynamic, and feminist frameworks. Outside of the therapy room, I have led trainings on physiological stress, mindfulness, and reducing cultural bias in healthcare. I completed my training at Northwestern CAPS, and the University of Illinois Counseling Center. I graduated with my doctoral degree (PsyD) from Roosevelt University, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person has the capacity to face their challenges, to become unstuck from self-defeating patterns, and to live their life in a more empowering and authentic way. I am committed to helping my clients develop self-compassion, interpersonal awareness, intentionality, and balance in their lives.
