My Background and Approach
I am a recent graduate of the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling master’s of science program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. I have experience in the field working with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and trauma-related disorders. I primarily work with young adults but offer my services to individuals of any age above 18. My therapy space is warm and collaborative and I strive to foster my client’s sense of resilience, independence, and work towards their own goals. My goal-oriented and guided approach ensure clients feel a sense of agency and accomplishment in sessions. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family systems, and more.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal approach to therapy is that anyone and everyone can benefit from assistance in any stage of life they are in and I am here to help individuals of all backgrounds overcome challenges and work towards their aspirations. I am passionate about being a therapist people feel comfortable working with. Although I am new to the field, I am that much more passionate about tailoring my personal services and approach to meet the unique needs of each one of my clients.
