I am a proud queer individual and have worked with folks in this community since I started providing therapy in 2016. Additional training and education to support treatment efforts have been regularly and intentionally sought. I have worked with humans at many stages of LGBTQ+ identity, from folks who are closeted for safety to those who have been settled in their identity for years. Working with the queer community is a source of joy, even when times are difficult, because we stand together.

I have worked with both individuals and relationships that exist outside traditional monogamy for a few years now. Since I am still relatively early in my development of this specialty, I regularly seek and engage in supportive education, supervision, and peer consultation. This is to help me maintain a working knowledge and framework to competently engage with folks who identify with various aspects of polyamory, non-monogamy, and open relationships.

PTSD is a broad diagnosis and I have worked with folks struggling with many different kinds of trauma. Although my clients have had a wide range of traumatic experiences, I often work particularly well with those who have experienced childhood abuse, sexual trauma, and/or interpersonal harm. Common goals can include fostering empowerment, releasing pain, and reconnection with self/others. This topic takes a special balance of tender and direct that I can offer for those in my care.
