About My Clients
You’re holding it together on the outside. But when you’re really honest with yourself, you know something is keeping you from showing up as your full and authentic self. Maybe you’re not even sure who that “self” is—you’re trying to figure that out, but it’s difficult in the midst of the anxiety, grief, or uncertainty you’re feeling. My clients often come to me experiencing difficulties in their relationships, struggling to communicate and ask for what they need.
My Background and Approach
I want to offer you a different kind of support. My training and specialization in art therapy allows you to explore deeply held emotions, process complex experiences, clarify goals, and express yourself in a way that words sometimes cannot capture. I believe we all feel and function at our best when we are free to be our authentic selves and can practice self-expression without judgment or limitation. That’s what art therapy can do. In addition to art therapy, I am also trained in multiple talk therapy therapeutic modalities including Contextual DBT, RO-DBT, CBT, ACT, and EFFT. Because every client is unique, every approach is too—together, we’ll incorporate the right modalities and co-create a treatment plan that helps you experience the kind of change you’re seeking.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work with adolescents and adults and have extensive experience supporting clients struggling with medical diagnoses, mood disorders, substance use, trauma, and grief & loss. Social justice is an important part of my work and I love supporting clients of all backgrounds, including those identifying as LGBTQIA+, to explore their identities and begin living as their full selves.
