About My Clients
With all of the pressures around us it can be difficult to connect with others, make healthy decisions, and lead a meaningful and authentic life. You might be experiencing challenges that are difficult to process. You might be shutting people out and coping in ways that appear to be unhealthy. Perhaps your happiness and confidence have turned into anger, sadness and self-doubt. Starting therapy may bring on ambivalence, fear, or skepticism. Olivia provides clients a safe, nonjudgmental space.
My Background and Approach
Through a humanistic approach, Olivia recognizes clients where they are at in the present space and utilizes a strengths-based technique to identify and elicit the tools and abilities that clients already possess to help them navigate life’s obstacles. Change begins with awareness. Mindfulness-based interventions along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are often used in the therapeutic relationship to help increase clients’ awareness and to help them to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to make those changes they see fit.
