About My Clients
I'm passionate about supporting clients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, negative body image, and anxiety disorders. I am a fat-positive, Health At Every Size®, and anti-diet provider. I am also an LGBTQ+-affirming and sex-positive therapist who welcomes all ages and genders. Sometimes eating disorders and mental health disorders feel all consuming and disconnect people from their true identity. I aim to support people in connecting to their true selves for healing.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in treating eating disorders, anxiety, and negative body image. Together we will identify your current coping skills and explore how they are and/or are not supporting you. We will build on your existing strengths to help you develop coping skills you can use in moments of distress. We will also work on your relationship with yourself, so that you can develop patience, compassion, and love for all parts of yourself. My approach is honest, compassionate, and highly collaborative. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Social justice issues, advocacy, and inclusivity are all incredibly important to me. I welcome conversations about fatphobia, racism, transphobia, ableism, and other systems of oppression and explore with my clients how these systems impact their perception of themselves and their bodies. I think all humans are capable of healing. I also know from personal and professional experience that growth, change, and healing are incredibly hard AND they are possible. I believe that it's never too late for healing and that the only thing you need is willingness.
