Learning more about one's beliefs and thinking patterns can lead to a greater understanding in a dysfunctional relationship with others, and the relationship we have with ourselves. Sometimes dysfunctional behaviors are absorbed from one's upbringing, or learned from other partnerships. I am passionate about understanding how these issues can manifest, and am here for guidance and support to explore these areas.

Generational trauma experienced, but not limited to: wars, major historical events, financial insecurity, infidelity, food scarcity, abuse, etc. can be impactful to present generations if these issues, values, and/or unhelpful beliefs have not been processed. I have first-hand experience of generational trauma within my family, so I have compassion and empathy for those who are willing to discuss and process this themselves.

Anxiety can be described as an excessive worry, fear, or nervousness that can get in the way of one's daily functioning, interpersonal relationships, and work in some form. Anxiety symptoms can look like: excessive worry, irritability, difficulty focusing, muscle tension, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, or fatigue. I specialize in treating this, by increasing your awareness of what you are experiencing, and discussing coping strategies to manage these symptoms.

Delving deeper into one’s family of origin, beliefs, and relationship patterns with yourself and others. As the layers of the onion are peeled during the span of our relationship, the hope is to reach a greater understanding of yourself, as a means for developing a healthier relationship with yourself and others.

Our thoughts and beliefs can impact how we view ourselves/others. The purpose is to learn strategies to challenge or reframe unhelpful thoughts or beliefs that may not be in our consciousness.

We can allow our thoughts and feelings to be present, without trying to judge or control them. Tolerating discomfort is a skill that can be taught, learned, and practiced.
