About My Clients
Are you feeling like something terrible is about to happen and there is nothing you can do about it? Feeling overwhelmed with anger and frustration, and constantly misunderstood? Or wishing that you didn't have to get out of bed, that your day didn't have to start? For those of you who relate, who feel isolated, lonely, helpless, and confused, I invite you to think of therapy as self-discovery journey that can give meaning to your struggle.
My Background and Approach
My practice is informed by psychoanalysis and mindfulness. My approach is non-directive and holistic, as it welcomes the person as a whole by addressing their history including their background, their personality, and their embodied experience. I like to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where one can be heard and understood differently.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I embrace my Middle Eastern roots and provide psychotherapy in English, French, and Arabic. My experience as a psychotherapist overseas and my years of clinical and community-based work provide a nuanced and meaningful understanding of personal struggles, relationships, family dynamics, behavioral patterns, and cultural diversity. Gradually, through free association of thoughts, feelings, and ideas, through creativity and sublimation, and through our fostered therapist-patient relationship, therapy will evolve into a cathartic process where you will be able to reinvent and recreate your life as it unfolds.
