About My Clients

Huge shifts in life - whether due to relationships, illness, or loss - can leave you feeling unmoored, uncertain, and disconnected from yourself. When life feels like it's shifting right from under you, please know you don’t have to face this alone. Together, let's address immediate challenges, while also exploring deeper questions of identity, meaning, and connection. I want to help you find your footing and reconnect with what matters most.

My Background and Approach

I create a warm, collaborative, safe space for us. I honestly believe that the magic ingredient in this work is the therapeutic relationship itself, and you and I will build this together. Within this relationship, you will benefit from protected, sacred space for exploring, expanding, and healing. Oftentimes, we start with the most immediate concerns, like adjusting to a cancer diagnosis and treatment, and then we can follow the tendrils of those experiences into areas like identity, relationships, meaning. My approach, which is rooted in psychodynamic and relational perspectives, aims to help you integrate these enormous shifts to make life not just bearable, but also satisfying, whether in the face of complicated survivorship or living with terminal illness. I’m licensed in both IL and WI, and I've had the privilege of supporting patients at Northwestern Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering with a wide range of diagnoses, life circumstances, and emotional concerns.

My Values as a Therapist

I value empathy, equity, and integrity in life and work. Beyond therapy, I support causes that advance access to quality health care & mental health care, promote dignity for those facing serious illness, and address systemic inequities in health & wellness. Broad support & advocacy for marginalized individuals and groups, such as LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and people with disabilities, are also missions near and dear to my heart; not only do I practice activism in these areas, but I am also committed to the life-long learning of cultural humility, intersectionality, and doing the work of decolonizing my therapy practice. Additionally, I believe in creating nonjudgmental space for exploration of suicidal ideation, and I hope to diminish the stigma and fear around honest & open dialogue when these thoughts arise. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, inclusive space for our therapy work.
