About My Clients

I treat children, adolescents, adults, couples, and polycules. I work with a wide variety of concerns, including trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. I offer appointments online or in person in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, once or several times a week.

My Background and Approach

My Approach: I offer patients a space to talk openly about their suffering, history, questions, wishes, fantasies, and desires. Together, we will listen carefully for the unconscious in your speech. The unconscious is what psychoanalysis calls the part of ourself that evades knowledge and understanding. Sometimes this takes the form of baffling symptoms or repeated patterns. This approach is based on the unique complexity of each patient. It does not offer quick fixes, one-size-fits-all solutions, or ready-made diagnoses. Instead, speaking, listening, and being heard in this way opens up new possibilities for ways of relating to oneself and others. This approach works for a wide variety of concerns, including those that are difficult to put into words. For in person sessions, I will have a variety of art supplies available for you to make art with if you would like. You are also welcome and encouraged to bring in or speak about any art you make outside of our sessions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My Background: I hold a Master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2025). I am a pre-licensed art therapist and counselor. This means I have completed three years of intensive clinical training and am working under the supervision of an experienced therapist while I accrue additional hours towards independent licensure. I am currently working under the supervision of Niquie Dworkin, PhD (Illinois / 071005388) and Spencer Biel, PsyD (Illinois / 071009876) at the Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy. I am currently a fellow with the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and a postgraduate fellow with the Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy. I have completed advanced clinical externships with the Lakeview Center for Psychotherapy and Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4). Prior to entering the clinical field, I worked extensively with children, teens, and LGBTQ+ youth in a variety of educational and youth development settings.
