As a queer therapist, I want to make sure I am available to support my community. As a white cis queer woman, I take responsibility for ensuring that any person within the queer community experiences acceptance and empowerment through working with me. I seek continuous education on how to support you through issues related to sexuality, gender, presentation, and relationships. In addition, I have specific training on how to assist with seeking gender affirming medical care.

Often the traditional tips for how to cope with ADHD do not work for folks. Making lists, organizing a space a certain way, or keeping a schedule just doesn't cut it. I work with you to create systems that actually work for your brain. We will explore which parts of executive functioning are impacted by ADHD, then create specific strategies and supports to assist in the aspects of life that are affected. While it can take some time, the results can be something that is actually doable.

One of the most important things to know about trauma therapy is that it takes time. The process of learning the impact of your trauma on your present day life, understanding triggers, finding ways to cope with your current symptoms, and learning to heal can take years. And while the process is a long one, it can be one of the best ways to find peace. In sessions we will utilize practices including somatic therapy, art therapy, and IFS to find a place of healing that feels right for you.

I am a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) with 5 years of experience. I believe the process of art making can be an extremely healing and affirming experience. You do not have to have deep artistic skills to use art therapy. In fact, it is my job to make sure the creative process is accessible to you at any skill level. What I hope is that I can provide a space that is welcoming and allows you to take some risks to explore the benefits that art therapy can bring to the therapy process.

Somatic therapy can be an amazing tool to assist you in self-regulation and emotional processing. Following the work of Linda Thai, I utilize somatic therapy within trauma practice as a way to recover from trauma related triggers. Folks experiencing depression and anxiety can also experience benefits from somatic therapy, as it supports a deeper understanding of the connection between your mental health and physical presence.
