I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology and I earned my master's degree in Counseling from Governors State University. I am also licensed in the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Additionally, I am a Board Certified -Telemental Health Provider. My clinical experience includes many years working in the field of community mental health providing direct therapeutic services to individuals and families and administrative direction to various clinical programs. My approach is to provide a confidential, safe space for individuals to openly discuss their issues. My counseling services are designed to recognize and respect each client's cultural and individual differences with the hope of providing a diversity sensitive counseling experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that good mental health therapy begins with respect for each client’s dignity, autonomy, and lived experience. Every person enters therapy with a unique story, and my role is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. I believe healing is most possible when clients experience therapy as a collaborative relationship built on trust, honesty, empathy, and clear professional boundaries.
