About My Clients

You might feel like you’re drowning, overwhelmed by troubling thoughts. Or you might be struggling with the sense that no one really “gets” you. You might want to connect, but you don’t know how. Maybe you feel like you don’t know who you are or what’s important to you. This could lead you to feeling frustrated, alone or possibly even hurt. You deserve a space to explore and express yourself, feeling fully seen and accepted for who you are and who you are becoming.

My Background and Approach

I became a therapist to support people as they explore and define their values and identity, as well as to help them find their resilience and inner resources. I know how critical both individual and societal connections are to well-being. I’m dedicated to exploring the connection between emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. I have more than a decade of government experience with public benefits, in addition to working in crisis mental health, individual therapy, and school settings. My varied and extensive professional and personal experiences inform my approach to therapy and helping people finding their own voices. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless and like life will never get better. I know it can feel like the whole world is stacked against you and no one wants to help. I became a therapist to support people as they explore and define their values and identity, as well as to help them find their resilience and inner resources.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a lifelong learner with a passion to explore and master new fields. I started as a classically trained singer and performer, then went to law school and worked for the Social Security Administration for over a decade. Becoming disillusioned with the system's seeming insensitivity and even hostility toward people's needs, I decided to pursue a field that would allow me to help individuals more concretely. I came to realize that I did have the capacity to connect with others and that I had useful insights and perspectives to offer, so I went back to school for my Masters of Social Work. This work has allowed me to use my insights and experiences to assist my clients; growth and healing. My goals for therapy are to develop genuine connections and to help you identify your values and recognize your authentic self. I can discuss difficult topics in a direct way that respects your needs and autonomy.
