About My Clients
I work from a client-centered lens and am passionate about working with individuals and relationships navigating: anxiety, depression, acute and complex trauma, relationship conflict and disconnection, communication issues, trust repair, sex and intimacy issues, identity exploration, unaddressed family of origin attachment wounds, inner child healing, and challenges with self-esteem and self-confidence.
My Background and Approach
I provide in-person and online therapy and approach my therapeutic work from a trauma-informed and holistic lens using emotionally-focused therapy combined with Internal Family Systems. I integrate mindfulness, experiential therapeutic work, creativity, humor, and use emotions as the primary agent of change within the therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In a world where disconnection, loneliness, and individualism are pervasive, we all deserve a safe, dedicated and connected space to have someone bear witness and hold our lived experiences - our rich contexts and cultures, our dynamic relationships with others, our moments of joy and strength, and our seasons of grief. I believe therapy can be that space. As a practice, I attend to being a culturally competent therapist that considers the contexts and identities of my clients and make space for curiosity and humility within the therapeutic relationship. I foster a therapeutic space that is identity-affirming, sex-positive, anti-racist, and polyamorous- and kink-friendly.
