About My Clients
As a therapist, I believe in your right to self-determination and autonomy in the therapeutic process. I feel that my clients are experts on their own experiences and I feel privileged to be trusted with their stories and histories. My clinical areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, complex family trauma, attachment, perinatal mental health, couples psychotherapy and supporting LGBTQIA+ people.
My Background and Approach
As a Perinatal Mental Health Certified Clinician (PMH-C), I have experience supporting individuals and couples experiencing perinatal loss, infertility, NICU parenting and postpartum mood/anxiety disorders. I am a Gottman Level One certified therapist, which I utilize to support couples in navigating communication, conflict, connection and attachment. I draw from frameworks of radical feminism and liberation psychology in my practice to acknowledge and explore systems of oppression. I am extensively trained in and draw upon a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), The Gottman Method and Psychodynamic Therapy.
