About My Clients
I work with children, teens, young adults, & their families; helping each, in their own way, navigate the ups and downs of new or chronic diagnoses, challenges, or general life stressors. I have a special interest in working with individuals & families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have significant experience supporting Latinx families, and while I do not provide therapy in Spanish, I have strong Spanish language skills.
My Background and Approach
I believe that my clients are capable of overcoming challenging events, symptoms, & beliefs when given tools to communicate, cope, & play. In therapy, they will learn how to identify & manage their emotions, createing a tool box for coping and mindfulness. I use techniques such as cognitive reframing, mindfulness and meditation, psychoeducation, & art.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When I am not at work, I can be found training my puppy, racing in triathalons, visiting with families and friends, and volunteering in my community! I also work for a social work graduate school department, supporting aspiring mental health clinicians!
