About My Clients
My ideal client is a woman who's spent years putting everyone else's needs before her own. She's the default parent, the people pleaser, the one who keeps everything running while quietly feeling overwhelmed, resentful, or disconnected from herself. She may be navigating motherhood, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, betrayal, or painful experiences from childhood. She's ready to understand herself, break old patterns, and finally make room for her own needs.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Lotus Rose Counseling, specializing in women's mental health, trauma, and grief. My background in hospice and as a labor and delivery bereavement specialist, as well as my own personal life experiences, shaped my passion for supporting women through life's hardest moments. My approach is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to show up as you are, without judgment or pressure to be or look a certain way. I use EMDR, ART, IFS, and ACT to help women process difficult experiences, understand old patterns, and reconnect with themselves. I especially love working with women who are tired of carrying everything, putting themselves last, or feeling like they're never doing enough. In our sessions, you can expect genuine connection, curiosity, gentle challenges, and even a little humor. My goal is to help you feel understood while creating meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my deepest beliefs as a therapist is that the capacity to heal already exists within each of us. I don't see my role as fixing people or having all the answers, but rather helping them discover the strength, wisdom, and resilience they may have lost sight of along the way. I've seen how easily women can lose themselves in motherhood, relationships, trauma, and the expectations placed on them. I believe many of the patterns we struggle with, like people-pleasing, perfectionism, or anxiety, make sense when we understand our experiences. I believe healing happens when we approach ourselves with curiosity and compassion rather than criticism. My role is to walk alongside you, help you make sense of your story, and guide you toward the tools and understanding you need to move forward. You don't have to become someone new to heal. Sometimes, it's about reconnecting with the person you've been all along.
