About My Clients
I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially with POC, immigrants, and international students. Some of the topics I have addressed in sessions involve culture and cultural identity, racial/ethnic identity, gender and sexual identity, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, stress, trauma/PTSD, academic and work-related concerns, relationship concerns, and self-acceptance. I offer services in both English and Korean.
My Background and Approach
I take a collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy; in other words, I work with you to explore your past and present in a way that is tailored to your specific needs. I also incorporate multicultural and feminist perspectives to explore together not only what goes on inside you, such as your thoughts and feelings, but also how systemic and social injustice may have impacted you and your experiences. I hope to create a space where you can find your power and strength to achieve what you want in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people have the power to heal themselves. We know what is best for us. However, when life becomes difficult and we start to feel stuck, we may need a little bit of extra support. I hope to provide that little bit of extra support to help you rediscover your strengths and empower you to live towards the life that you find meaningful.
