About My Clients
I am a dedicated mental health professional with a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I'm especially interested in working with adolescents and young adults navigating self-esteem concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, and relationship challenges, as well as survivors of domestic and sexual violence. My work is informed by a background in sexual assault advocacy.
My Background and Approach
I use lightness and humor in my approach and work to make therapy feel approachable, especially for those who find starting therapy awkward or intimidating. I believe trust is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship and tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, including incorporating creativity when helpful. I aim for clients to feel valued and prioritized throughout the process. I aim to offer a supportive, collaborative atmosphere while gently challenging clients to support meaningful growth and change. I believe healing takes time, is rarely linear, and can feel messy at times, and I am committed to walking alongside clients through that process. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my puppy and kitty, staying active, listening to music, keeping up with pop culture, and getting lost in a good book.
