About My Clients

Therapy is a natural process that unfolds over time. Sometimes, clients focus on insightful moments. Other times, past, present, and future events get our attention. I guided the pace while challenging stubborn thoughts and behaviors. The change can feel both fast and slow. The important part is the therapeutic relationship since clients practice authenticity with me. Clients with curiosity and courage to dissect intimacy, ambiguity, differences, and systemic issues do best in therapy with me.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist living and and working in Chicago with over 15 years of clinical experience. Individual and couples clients have a working and collaborative relationship with me. Whether you're experiencing a life transition or symptoms of anxiety or depression, now is the moment you are seeking support. It is my privilege to help clients feel that change is possible. I pull from psychodynamic, Rogerian, and Internal Family Systems theories to support my work. I use a holistic and multicultural approach with every client to understand their unique experiences and provide treatment that is effective and trustworthy. My priority is to take the best ethical care of my clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Before making our way earthside, we pack up transgenerational influences and carry them with us into this lifetime. While there is no memory formed, these influences inform our view of ourselves and the world. Since birth, we gather experiences and integrate them into our self-concept. Our self-concept is made up of many protective parts. These parts are the thoughts, feelings, reactions, and voices that we call self-talk. In therapy, we explore your narrative. At times, you will hear my narrative and protective parts developed from my family, relationships, and struggles. I value an open decision about our narratives and how they might intersect or diverge when clinically relevant. I hold strong social justice beliefs that every human has a right to creating their own path and accessing resources to make that happen. You can expect weekly therapy that is consistent, vulnerable, funny at times, and most importantly safe. You will gain clarity about you and your parts.
