About My Clients
In the best of conditions, orienting ourselves towards personal growth is challenging and requires focus, dedication, and support. During major life events, staying on this mindful path can become overwhelming and we may find ourselves unable to find our bearings. For over 12 years, I have helped clients navigate difficult life transitions, such as recovery from addiction, overcoming trauma, healing from grief, cultivating healthy relationships, and achieving developmental milestones.
My Background and Approach
Mental wellness requires us to integrate and nourish the mind, body, and spirit. To support this, I pride myself on offering real-life tools to help people overcome barriers and achieve their goals, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Parts Work, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe that growth happens within the context of relationships, which means that I am devoted to fostering relationships with my clients that feel safe and supportive. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having experienced my own recovery from trauma and relationship challenges, and having witnessed my loved ones experience recovery from addictions, I know first-hand the "daily struggle." It is not easy and it can't be done alone, but I believe it is beautiful. One of my favorite definitions of recovery is "recovering the person you are meant to be," and it is an honor to join people on that path. I identify as a fat person, and am a dedicated ally to the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and disabled communities, as well as anyone suffering from marginalization and systemic oppression.
