About My Clients

**I am not able to take new clients; please see my website to learn about the therapists in my practice. As a group practice, we are all sensitive to the needs of those who have been otherwise rejected or abandoned. We address issues of shame related to unwanted sexual experiences, internalized oppression, and hold space from a trauma-informed perspective. Each clinician brings a different flavor of their own personality and rich life experience along with their training.

My Background and Approach

*I'm not accepting any new clients, but check out my website to see other therapists. I am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and currently a supervisor-in-training. I have a Master's Degree in Human Sexuality and a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy. My undergraduate degrees are in Women's Studies and Photography. I'm passionate about working with survivors of unwanted sexual experiences (and this include sexual violence and also unwanted pain during sexual experiences). I'm passionate about working with LGBTQIA folx. I'm an extrovert by nature and love being in relationship with humans. I love listening to stories that people find otherwise difficult to tell, earning trust, holding space, expressing empathy and accountability, and lifting others up. I'm very protective of my work and utilize other roles (such as teaching, mentoring, and supervision) to keep myself engaged in professional growth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Well....I'm a 2 on the Enneagram and that means that my fixation in life is around helping people. I enjoy the Enneagram and I also find astrology to be quite fun, too (Cancer sun/Libra rising). I'm drawn to paganism and have some sense of a spirituality, but I also identify as an agnostic-atheist. I have an appreciation for the human desire to make meaning out of life. Politically, I guess I'd call myself a liberal-progressive. Intersectional feminism best defines the framework of my values and practice. I care about all of the isms (racism, classism, sexism, ableism, agism, etc) and I'm committed to being a lifelong learner, continuously seeing ways to fight oppression and to be a decent human. I'm bisexual and married to a cis heterosexual male and so I tend to come out a lot because I refuse to give up such an important part of my identity.
