About My Clients

You notice yourself trying to manage heightened anxiety or panic associated with uncertainty. You feel easily overwhelmed by changes in your environment, social settings, and other people’s moods. You experience yourself as sensitive, shy, or struggling with self-esteem. You may be navigating stressors associated with our sociopolitical climate, and need a supportive space to share how changes are impacting your well-being.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with folx who may identify as highly sensitive. Responses to stressors show up to reveal important messages. When we understand how our environments, mind, and body are connected we can learn how to cope with distress. It is a privilege to work alongside you on your healing journey. You don't need to be a ‘soloist’ navigating this human experience. We not only survive on connection, collaboration, and community - we thrive on it! I am currently offering telehealth/online counseling to residents of South Carolina and North Carolina. I accept private pay only with some sliding scale spots available in South Carolina. I accept BCBS, United Healthcare, and Aetna in North Carolina. Please contact me for a free 15 minute consultation to determine if I am the right fit for you. Be well.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we don't diagnose people - we diagnose signs, symptoms, and patterns that arise due to learned emotional and behavioral responses that have kept us alive. Some of our unhelpful and unhealthy patterns prevent us from thriving. We thrive when we are able to unlock the mystery to these patterns - replacing them with helpful and healthy ones in conjunction with adaptive coping strategies. I believe we must take into account external factors impacting our mental health, including entrenched systems of oppression. Tending to our mental health requires support and a safe landing space to feel heard, understood, and validated. I have engaged in my own therapy and feel grateful for the healing it has provided. I have found it does require the right fit and client-counselor relationship. I value that therapists, including myself, continue their personal work as an anchor for support, personal growth; and to foster understanding of the self, others, and the collective.
