About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck in conflict cycles with your partner, struggling to communicate productively, or overwhelmed by your own internal experiences? Maybe you're trying to regulate emotions that feel too big or too distant, processing grief, or exploring your Queer identity. As a gay man I too have had relationship struggles, grieved death, and explored my identity, so you don’t have to go through these experiences alone.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in supporting clients through relationship difficulties, exploring Queer identity, major life transitions, and grieving losses—both anticipated and sudden. I use numerous theories, methods, and interventions to address complex trauma, facilitate healing, and build connection. In my practice I primarily utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with individuals and relationships. Both of these modalities will allow us to dive deep into the root causes of what you're experiencing. In our first session we'll explore what brought you to therapy and create a plan to help you make meaningful growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In session I work to acknowledge the systemic barriers fueled by white supremacy that limit the progress of people of Color and those within the LGBT+ community. I also recognize my own privilege. I aim to dismantle systems of societal oppression and ensure you feel seen and heard. I care deeply about attuning to you and encouraging your healing process by asking meaningful questions and creating a space where safety and vulnerability can thrive. You can count on me to introduce some humor and occasional colorful language into our sessions. This is an opportunity to invest in your personal or relational growth. Therapy can be very hard work, but I’m also looking for the beautiful moments we can celebrate throughout the process.
