As an immigrant myself, I personally understand the struggles of adaption to a new country, culture and language. I spent one year working with mothers of immigrant families to help them work on well-being, career, education and financial goals, and now I provide therapy in English and Portuguese, and speak some Spanish.

My therapy practice is client-led, which means clients identify what they want to address in therapy and what kind of life they want to lead. I believe this creates a more personalized approach to therapy, and at the same time helps create a sense of autonomy and self-confidence in clients. I respect your individual needs while at the same time supporting you in achieving your goals.

I use a Family Systems orientation to help individuals work through complex family dynamics and process family trauma. I have experience working with parents, foster parents, former foster youth and children and adolescents living in group homes. I believe in the power of human connection and community, and will help you create and nurture meaningful relationships both within and outside of your family.
