About My Clients

Starting a family or adding to your family can be so overwhelming! It is common to experience intense social pressures, unmet personal expectations, losses, hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, relationship challenges and/or isolation. Often, we grieve the loss of who we once were, before this journey began! Our experiences may bring about emotions including worry, confusion, doubt and fear. It can be exhausting and impacts our ability to enjoy the life we have worked hard to create.

My Background and Approach

Whether you are in the planning stages, have experienced loss, are expecting (via pregnancy, adoption or surrogacy) or are struggling with early parenting challenges, I would love to support you in finding a grounded place, building supports, developing a self-care regimen and working through past hurts which may impact your ability to be your happiest self. I believe all families, especially moms and expectant moms, deserve to feel supported and encouraged throughout this intense transitional period. I use warmth and compassion to create a safe space in which you can explore your own personal challenges, unearth and celebrate all of your strengths, and ultimately find yourself more confident, grounded, and able to enjoy your parenting journey!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My practice is driven by knowledge that women (and their partners) are suffering from the unique challenges they experience related to pregnancy and parenting and that, with the right support, their suffering can be greatly relieved/lifted. Unfortunately our society as a whole does not currently provide the education, support and care that women and families need to be physically or mentally healthy as they navigate the journey into parenthood. I am a member of Postpartum Support International, which leads the country on providing resources/support on these issues. Due to the egregious institutionalized discrimination all minority populations face in our country, I am also an active participant in the fight for social justice in as many ways as possible.
