About My Clients
My practice consists of working with individuals, relationships, and families. I find special interest in working with relationship issues & concerns, depression & anxiety, major life transitions, and those who are coming to therapy for the first time. I also continue to work with eating disorders and body image concerns, in both an individual and relational context. I am LGBTQIA affirming, and consider it a privilege to work with people with varying backgrounds and identities.
My Background and Approach
As a clinician, I value the uniqueness of each therapy relationship and approach my work with warmth, empathy, and logic. I believe therapy can be a highly-effective process when both creativity and research serve as the foundation that help move clients towards acceptance and healing. I am trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist and earned a M.S. from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Following graduate school, I completed a Post-Masters Fellowship at Chicago Center for Evidence Based Treatment, primarily treating adolescent & young adult eating disorders in a family context. As a clinical fellow, I received specialized training in Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E).
