About My Clients
I work with individuals and relationships of all identities. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+/queer communities, the kink/BDSM/leather communities, and poly/non-monogamous folks. I have experience working with trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, substance use, identity issues, relationships, and phase of life concerns. Many of my clients are college-aged or young adults and are navigating the transition out of school life into their careers, and I welcome first-gen students especially.
My Background and Approach
My therapy style is reflective, curious, warm, and attentive, and I know therapy is going well when clients bring more and more of their authentic selves to session. In session, I like to make note of themes and patterns as they appear and explore what meaning we may make from them. Our sessions go where you want to go, and together we'll work to foster the growth that you wish to see for yourself. I work from an evidence-based relational approach, centering your experience of relationships and community and finding ways to foster greater connection and fulfillment in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a gay and queer man and actively and ardently support queer liberation, sex-positivity, and racial justice movements. I believe that the personal is political, meaning our personal and social experiences cannot be separated from our experiences of our politics and societal systems.
