About My Clients
Have you often felt overwhelmed? Struggled to respond to your emotions, a situation, or a relationship in ways that felt effective? If you're open, even just a little, to exploring how therapy can benefit you, I am here to help. I want to help you learn new coping techniques, build acceptance, and create change in your life.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a wonderful way to better understand yourself and your life. In working together, we can explore how your past has impacted your current life, how to foster acceptance and create changes in the present, and consider what you would like your future to look like. I approach my clients by seeing them as a whole person and will work to create a therapeutic space that feels effective for you. With warmth and compassion, I am willing to help you with whatever comes in up therapy. I use a combination of Person-Centered therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR to help you where you are. With my experience working in a mental health agency, I always consider how each of my clients exist in different systems, different spaces, and in different identities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. We all have a capacity to grow and deserve a space to explore in which ways we would like to. We are often our harshest critics and I often encourage my client to engage with self-compassion.
