About My Clients
College students and young adults dealing with: Trauma, Anxiety, Stress, Life Adjustments, Self-esteem, Body Image, Perfectionism, & Loneliness.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University and my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have experience working in non-profit, hospital, and private practice settings. I use specific evidence-based techniques and interventions, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, expressive techniques, and interactive therapies. Together we will establish goals, and I will equip you with tools and resources to use not only in our sessions, but most importantly, into your daily life, no matter the circumstance. I also help establish emotional and physical boundaries so that you can take back control of your life and your time. I will be right there with you as you learn more about yourself and the world you are a part of.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing occurs through relationships, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey. Health is something we can never stop growing in. In order to reach optimal health, and we must nurture our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Everyone is special and unique, and your counseling sessions will reflect that. When I am not working, I am hanging out with my husband and our puppy, enjoying the outdoors, making plans with friends, serving my church, or making sourdough!
