Helping adults and couples navigate anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and cultural or creative pressures with clarity and steadiness

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in Chicago, IL

About My Clients

I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns that no longer work. This can show up as ongoing relationship tension, anxiety in the background, or feeling uncertain in life transitions, identity, or direction. Many of my clients are navigating cultural or family expectations, multicultural dynamics, or the pressures of creative and performance-based careers. I offer a grounded, collaborative space to understand these patterns and create meaningful change.

My Background and Approach

I’m a bilingual Marriage and Family Therapist offering virtual sessions across Illinois and in-person therapy in downtown Chicago. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and cultural or creative pressures. My approach is systemic and trauma-informed, drawing from Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and structured premarital tools such as Prepare/Enrich and the Gottman Method. In therapy, we slow things down and look at the patterns shaping your emotions, relationships, and decisions. The focus is both reflective and practical, helping you understand what’s happening internally while building tools you can use in daily life. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. As a Russian-speaking immigrant with a background in theater and event directing, I also bring cultural awareness and understanding of creative, high-pressure environments.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe meaningful change happens through honest connection, curiosity, and collaboration. Therapy is not about being perfect or “fixed,” but about slowing down enough to understand yourself more clearly and respond to life with more intention. As a Russian-speaking immigrant, I understand how cultural transitions can shape identity, relationships, and belonging. I also have a background in theater and event directing, which gives me a deep appreciation for creative work and the emotional demands that come with performance-based careers. I strive to create a space that feels grounded, respectful, and human, where clients can explore patterns, build resilience, and strengthen how they relate to themselves and others. My work is guided by warmth, clarity, and a focus on practical, lasting change that feels real in everyday life.
