About My Clients
I have a background serving women as well as individuals struggling with depression and anxiety. Additionally, I have a history of working with folks on assertiveness, achieving life goals, and overall behavior change/management. I have also worked extensively with individuals with high functioning developmental disabilities. Most importantly, I care deeply about creating a collaborative relationship with clients, while also carving out space for empathy and compassion.
My Background and Approach
As stated previously, I hold a BCBA as well as an LCSW. I have worked in the behavioral and mental health fields for eight years. Applied Behavior Analysis had been my main mode of working with individuals, however I also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy modalities. Over the years, my main passion has surrounded supporting women in their respective journeys to discover their voices and exert assertiveness, whether in relationships, jobs, or life in general. Finding peace and happiness within is my ultimate goal for all individuals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been an advocate and ally for folks with developmental disabilities for many years, working in therapeutic day schools, using ABA for in home therapy, and working as a BCBA in adult day programs. Additionally, working and volunteering with other underserved populations such as foster children and homeless individuals has been a cornerstone of my values. Over the years, I have also actively volunteered with animal shelters.
