About My Clients
You’re holding it together on the outside, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and exhausted. Maybe you tell yourself, “It’s fine. I’m fine.” even though you know something is off. You’ve gotten so good at appearing okay that even your closest people don’t see the weight you’re carrying. The feeling of invisibility hurts and you’re tired of managing it all alone. You want to feel more like yourself; less anxious, connected, grounded, and living a full, meaningful life.
My Background and Approach
My clinical background spans community mental health, private practice, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient care, and nonprofit work supporting individuals impacted by incarceration and the Flint water crisis. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy. I specialize in trauma, CPTSD, anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout, particularly in individuals who are high-functioning outwardly but feel overwhelmed internally. I draw from AEDP, attachment-based, and psychodynamic modalities to support clients in reconnecting with themselves, making sense of emotional patterns, and building relationships that feel safer and more fulfilling. My work is grounded in trust, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when we stop managing alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the healing power of genuine connection and that people deserve to be met with compassion, not judgment. I trust in our capacity to grow, even when things feel stuck or overwhelming. Therapy, to me, is a space to explore who you are underneath the coping, the pressure, and the survival mode. Outside the therapy room, I’m someone who values slowness, creative expression, and being in nature. I’m curious by nature and often find inspiration in art, books, movement, and deep conversations. I believe that how we care for ourselves, our communities, and our environment are all connected and I bring that lens of interconnection into my work with clients.
